Job Summary of Dispatcher:

At Kelly Services, Dispatchers are instrumental in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of documents, packages, and other materials to clients and businesses. This position demands timeliness, dependability, and skill in handling items with caution.

Responsibilities of Dispatcher:

• Ensure products are delivered to recipients or businesses securely and on schedule by coordinating with drivers.
• Facilitate the completion of delivery duties by overseeing processes such as loading and unloading to maintain the accuracy and condition of all items transported.
• Review orders both pre-delivery and post-delivery to ensure they are complete, charges are accurate, and the customer is content.
• Ensure consistent communication with the delivery team to provide instructions or notifications about changes in route or schedule.
• Assist drivers in securing payments and signatures from patrons as required and manage the maintenance of transaction records.
• Conduct regular maintenance assessments on the delivery vehicle to sustain its operational efficiency and report any malfunctions or incidents to the appropriate channels.
• Help drivers navigate through different pathways in the urban landscape while complying with all traffic laws and ordinances.

Qualifications of Dispatcher:

• Achieving the equivalent of a high school diploma through the necessary coursework.
• Proven experience as a dispatcher, courier, or delivery driver is a plus.
• Competence in employing GPS devices and understanding the local geography to optimize navigation and routing.
• Capable of effectively handling tight schedules through strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in engaging with individuals and communicating clearly, while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
• Capacity to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, when the situation calls for it.
• Efficiency in operating skillfully under pressure.
• Enhancing problem-solving aptitude to effectively tackle issues in the delivery process.
