What Does a Flight Attendant Actually Do?
Your job is super important and has a few key parts:
- Be a Safety Pro: Your number one job is to keep everyone on the plane safe. You'll learn what to do in any situation and show passengers how to use safety equipment, like seatbelts and oxygen masks.
- Be a Helper: You'll greet passengers with a smile, help them find their seats, and assist with their carry-on bags. You're the go-to person for any questions they have during the flight.
- Be a Host: You'll serve snacks and drinks, making sure everyone is comfortable and having a pleasant trip.
- Be a Problem-Solver: From helping a nervous flyer to handling a medical situation, you'll need to think on your feet and stay calm under pressure.
Could You Be a Delta Flight Attendant?
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid passport to travel to all the amazing countries we fly to.
- Be ready for an adventure! Your schedule will change, so you'll need to be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Be willing to move to one of our base cities.
- Be strong enough to lift baggage and push heavy carts.
