Job Summary of Delivery Handler:

At Kelly Services, Delivery Handlers are essential for maintaining the smooth and secure transportation of documents, packages, and various items to clients and businesses. This position entails being punctual, reliable, and adept at handling items with care.

Responsibilities of Delivery Handler:

• Transport items to customers or enterprises securely, promptly, and with precision.
• Execute a range of delivery responsibilities, including loading and unloading tasks, to ensure that all deliveries are precise and free of damage.
• Review orders both pre-delivery and post-delivery to ensure they are complete, charges are accurate, and the customer is content.
• Continually communicate with the central dispatch unit to stay updated on delivery instructions or any modifications in the route or schedule.
• Gather payments and signatures from customers as needed and handle the upkeep of transaction receipts.
• Perform routine maintenance inspections on the delivery vehicle to guarantee smooth operation and promptly notify management of any malfunctions or accidents that may happen.
• Navigate through different pathways in the urban landscape while complying with all traffic laws and ordinances.
• Protect the confidentiality and security of the items being transported.

Qualifications of Delivery Handler:

• Completing the mandated coursework for a high school diploma or an analogous certification.
• Proven experience as a courier or delivery driver.
• Holding a valid driver's license for professional driving and a clean record of previous driving activities.
• Fluency in utilizing GPS devices alongside local geography knowledge to navigate efficiently.
• Capable of handling challenging timelines with proficiency in organization and time management.
• Adept at interpersonal communication and possessing a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
• Skillful in the lifting and maneuvering of heavy items, complemented by the ability to stand for prolonged periods
• Prepared to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, when the need arises.
